Born and raised in the North East of England, I’m now a proud resident of the Medway town of Gillingham, Kent. I moved here several years ago after meeting my husband, who is affectionately referred to on this blog as ‘the Man of Kent’. I started Medway, She Wrote to tell the world about this place where I live.

Fuelled by copious amounts of Yorkshire tea, I mainly write about Medway – places, people, history, everyday life, and more. I also write about Kent more generally, and occasionally other topics that interest me.
